Casting a Gays

Two upcoming gay-themed films have cast four of our favorite out actors in key roles:
  • On the heels of this week's Kiss the Bride comes another wedding-set gay romantic comedy, For Better or Worse, described as "the story of a grounded pair of grooms whose family threatens to go off the rails at their nuptials". Chad Allen, Brad Rowe (who is also producing), Janeane Garofalo, Rebecca Gayheart, Patrick Muldoon and Soleil Moon Frye (as a lesbian minister) star.
  • In Shifting the Canvas, about "a group of artists living in Brooklyn who struggle to maintain a rather dysfunctional family of friends in a post-9/11 world", Cheyenne Jackson will star as a "straight Ivy League type". He joins the already cast Scott Thompson and Matthew Montgomery, plus John Paul Pitoc of Trick fame and Gedde Watanabe, a.k.a. Sixteen Candles' Long Duk Dong.
Both films are currently in production.
