Out in Film: Wilson Cruz

Idol worship: Wilson Cruz, actor.

- As Rickie Vasquez on the cult TV classic My So-Called Life, he was one of the first openly gay actors to play an openly gay character on network television. After Life ended, he guest starred on Ally McBeal, ER, The West Wing and had recurring roles on Party of Five and Noah's Arc.

- On film, he has appeared in Nixon, Johns, Party Monster, Bam Bam and Celeste and the popular gay rom com Coffee Date.

- He made his Broadway debut playing the cross-dressing performance artist Angel in Rent.

- He currently voices Evan on the LOGO comedy series Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All the World and will return to Noah's Arc for the upcoming movie version.

- At the recent GLAAD Media Awards, he was the recipient of their Visibilidad Award, honoring "openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professionals who have made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for our community".
