Reel Thoughts: Where the Gays Are

I didn’t know what to expect with Todd Stephens' Another Gay Movie, and I was less than bowled over by how exceedingly crass it was in parodying Porky’s and American Pie with a gay bent. Still, since I knew what to expect, I found myself laughing a lot during Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild and not even trying to discern a plot or continuity. How could I? Three out of the four original stars are different — only Jonah Blechman as the femtastic Nico remains from the original film.

Of course, it’s really the supporting cast that makes Another Gay Sequel, so I’m glad that Scott Thompson, Lypsinka, RuPaul, The Lady Bunny, Jim Verraros, Amanda LePore, Perez Hilton, Colton Ford, porn auteur Michael Lucas and infamous porno twink Brent Corrigan are all on board.


Like the previous film poked fun at trashy teen sex films, Another Gay Sequel seems to parody From Justin to Kelly and Where the Boys Are, of all things. The frisky foursome heads to Ft. Lauderdale to take part in the “Gays Gone Wild” competition, the goal of which is to sleep with as many men as possible. Thankfully, Muffler heads off to the Dinah Shore Classic so we don’t have to suffer through her performance.

If you check your sensibilities with your luggage on Transamerica Airlines, you might just go wild for Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild.
