Cinematic Crush: Patrick Dempsey

Kicking off today, Movie Dearest is celebrating Enchanted, Disney's new romantic comedy fantasy, with a weeklong (and then some) countdown to its opening day, November 21st. To start things off, a certain dreamy actor (who's not a doctor, but plays one on TV) is the subject of this week's Cinematic Crush:

Crush object: Patrick Dempsey, actor/dreamboat.
- Why we like him: He's the whole package -- the bedroom eyes, the adorable cleft in his chin, the hair ... gotta dig the hair.
- What he's known for: Whatever else he does in his life, he will always be Dr. McDreamy of Grey's Anatomy fame.
- When did we first notice him: Nerd-turned-playa in Can't Buy Me Love.
- Other choice roles: Fellow Irish American John F. Kennedy in the TV movie JFK: Reckless Youth, Sela Ward's unhinged brother on Once and Again, the odd man out in Sweet Home Alabama.
- Gay for pay: Early tour of Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song Trilogy, one of Will's many beaus on Will and Grace.
- Butch hobby: Racecar driving.
- Bet you didn't know: Played Tim Robbins' role from The Player and Hugh Grant's from About a Boy in two unsuccessful TV pilots based on those films.
- Yes, it's true: Is a championship juggler.
- Can we quote you on that: "One day my 3-year-old daughter said, "You're very handsome, Poppy" That was the best compliment ever." Awww ...
- Where we can see him next: Is Enchanted's reluctant would-be Prince Charming, New York lawyer and single dad Robert Phillips.
