The Blatch is Back!

Well, they could have told us, but good news is good news even if we had to dig for it: Willie Garson has indeed returned as Carrie Bradshaw's GBF (gay best friend) Stanford Blatch in the crazy-anticipated Sex and the City movie. However, unlike the ladies, all of whom will be reunited with their respective leading men, it appears that Stanford may be going stag on the silver screen.

See, Sean Palmer, who played Stanford's beautiful beau Marcus on the series, has now fallen for a fish. Specifically, a mermaid. Yes, Palmer will be Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, Disney's latest screen-to-stage transfer now preparing for a November opening on Broadway. Now, considering that the Sex movie is currently filming in the Big Apple, it is possible that Palmer could do a cameo, but I wouldn't count on it. Maybe that's why our poor Stanford looks so distressed.

In more Sex news, according to the movie's Imdb page, Mario Cantone will be back as well as the catty Anthony. (Also, note that Jennifer Hudson's character is only listed as "Carrie's Assistant". Is it wrong that I find that hilarious? Wonder what her name will be; she looks like a "Judy" to me.)

Location photos and plot spoilers are flying across the web, so if you don't want to know anything about this movie, it would be best to just stay off the 'net until it opens next May.
