Lois Maxwell: 1927 - 2007

Lois Maxwell, the Canadian-born actress who played Britain's most famous secretary, has passed away.

Maxwell played Miss Moneypenny in 14 James Bond films, from Dr. No to A View to a Kill. Whether it was Sean Connery, George Lazenby or Roger Moore as Special Agent 007, Maxwell's Moneypenny traded flirtatious barbs with the best of them, yet never succumbed to his seductions, becoming a fan favorite in the process.

In addition to her many Bond assignments, Maxwell also co-starred in Stanley Kubrick's Lolita and won a Golden Globe for an early role in That Hagen Girl, opposite Shirley Temple.
