Now you can add robots to that list of kid-friendly obsessions that Pixar has been able to tap into to create an unparalleled winning streak of animated blockbusters.
WALL·E, opening next summer, centers on an unprepossessing automaton who must fend for himself when he is left behind when all of humankind leaves Earth. Basically, this means that there will be very little actual dialogue, leading the film's Oscar-winning director Andrew Stanton to refer to it as "R2-D2: The Movie". Sounds good to me, and looks good too: here is the film's recently released teaser trailer.
