Asking the question that anyone who has seen him act lately could easily answer, a reportedly flabbergasted William Shatner wants to now how come he's not in the new Star Trek movie:
"I thought, what a decision to make, since it obviously is a decision not to make use of the popularity I have to ensure the movie has good box office. It didn't seem to be a wise business decision."
Uh, Bill, seriously? You think the new movie will bomb because you're not in it? My guess is that the ol' Enterprise was gettin' awful tired of haulin' around that enlarged ego of yours, or maybe the transporters couldn't handle all that inflated self-importance you've gained (along with the weight). Or maybe this is just karmic payback for directing Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
Meanwhile, Empire Online is currently running a poll on the casting of the new crew, and Zachary Quinto as Spock is leading with an impressive 93% approval rating. At the bottom of the rankings with a mere 62% of readers thinking he was a good choice for the role is ... Chris Pine as Captain Kirk. Yeah, that karma can be a real bitch sometimes.
