Michael Portantiere over at AfterElton.com recently looked back at "the year in gay theater" in the Big Apple, finding much to celebrate.
The "Gayest Show of the Year"? Xanadu, silly. And of course, our guy Cheyenne Jackson is singled out, as well as Tony Award-winner David Hyde Pierce, Edward Albee, Charles Busch and Ian McKellen (for "best nude scene"!). Other notable Broadway and Off Broadway productions mentioned include The Ritz (which closes this Sunday, by the by), Grey Gardens, Tea and Sympathy and Die Mommie Die!, with special mention given to Jerry Mitchell's annual bacchanal for charity, Broadway Bares.
And if this picture of Cheyenne isn't enough for you (how could it not?), he also appeared at the recent Broadway's Back! special performance, along with none other then Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters and a host of Broadway's current best.
