What Time Is It? Time for HSM Funnies

To get your "head in the game" for next Tuesday's DVD release of High School Musical 2, here are some choice HSM parodies/homages for you:
  • Stitch and the gang do a choreographically perfect (and completely adorable) "We're All in This Together".
  • Two University of Michigan Musical Theatre Majors put on quite a tribute to their favorite "DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie)". Go, white boy!
  • For those of you resistant to the charms of the Wild Cats, MADtv offers up a blisteringly funny send-up of all the secrets hidden in the halls of East High.
  • And finally, Lin-Manuel Miranda goes to the extreme to promote his upcoming Off Broadway-to-Broadway transfer, In the Heights: he channels Zac Efron in his infamous HSM2 showstopper (not the good kind), "Bet On It".

In related news, the big screen threequel, High School Musical 3, is all set to start filming next spring with the complete original cast (sweethearts Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will get sizeable pay hikes, naturally). Kenny Ortega will return to direct and choreograph as well, with the plot rumored to center around the kids' senior year. Do I see a prom night production number in our future? Bet on it.
