Best of the Fests: Berlinale's Teddy

So much for no gays in Iran: two documentaries featuring Iranian gays and lesbians won big at the Berlinale's Teddy Queer Film Awards last week.

Be Like Others, about the often life-threatening challenges faced by homosexuals in Iran, took the jury prize, while Football Under Cover, a look at two female soccer players, a German and an Iranian, scored wins as Best Documentary, as well as the audience award.

The Best Feature Teddy went to The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela, described as the story of "a Filipino lady-boy prostitute who fancies herself the true queen of France". You go girl.
