Gone With the Wind isn't the only literary epic-turned-Oscar winning movie-turned-stage musical of late: Giant, based on the Edna Ferber novel (which also inspired the film starring James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson) will have its world premiere next year.
