Academy Award-winning composer Leonard Rosenman, best known for his scores for friend James Dean's first two movies, East of Eden and Rebel Without a Cause, has died.
Rosenman won Oscars for the films Barry Lyndon and Bound for Glory, and was also nominated for Cross Creek and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. He also won Emmys for the classic TV movies Sybil and Friendly Fire.
Other notable works include Hell is for Heroes, Fantastic Voyage, A Man Called Horse, The Lord of the Rings, Making Love and the Epcot thrill ride Body Wars.
