Let's Do the Necronomicon Again

Now this is interesting: regardless if another official sequel ever gets made, fans of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead horror series will still get a chance to see their beloved hero Ash up on the big screen once more ... only now, he'll be singing and dancing along with all that demon killin'. That's right -- Evil Dead: The Musical is being made into a movie. And not just any movie ... it will be in 3-D!

If anything ever deserved the distinction of "the next Rocky Horror Picture Show", then it's this cult movie in the making. Except, instead of dodging toast and rice, audience members will be dodging severed limbs and voluminous amounts of blood ... straight from the screen! That's just all kinds of awesome.

And in more bizarre stage-to-3-D screen news: the Blue Man Group will be making the leap to the big screen as well ... the really big screen, that is. A 3-D IMAX movie is currently in the works for the sapphire-skinned trio, whose act currently boasts seven productions worldwide. The three original blue men will return for the film, which will even attempt a plot. But I bet it won't have any Candarian demons in it ...
