Didn't we already dodge this bullet with Roseanne Barr back in the 90's? Apparently, Fox is going ahead with an Americanized remake of the classic Britcom Absolutely Fabulous. In this incarnation, Edina, Patsy, Saffy, Bubble and the rest of the Ab Fab gang will be relocated to Los Angeles.Considering that the main character's vices (smoking, drinking, casual sex, swearing, the list goes on) that are at the core of the original's humor are either forbidden or strongly discouraged on US TV, methinks this will be a rather toothless imitation.
