John Hughes, the prolific writer/director of such 80's teen classics as Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, passed away earlier today at the age of 59.

That's really sad. He will be missed, especially by Macaulay Culkin, as both Macaulay and John did the films Uncle Buck and Home Alone together. :)
