I have always been a lover of movies. From the Disney classics of my childhood to the latest Oscar-winners, film has always been my passion. And I'm far from discriminating -- I love all kinds of movies: stirring dramas, show-stopping musicals, hilarious comedies, thought-provoking documentaries, wild cult faves, swoon-inducing romances, exotic foreign fare, edge-of-your-seat thrillers, eye-popping animation, beyond-your-imagination fantasies ... you get the idea.This blog is a means to share my obsession, with recommendations of the latest and greatest, news of eagerly awaited films of the future, essays on whatever may strike my cinematically-preoccupied fancy, and more. Plus the usual links to movie-related articles and such from around the web.
Being a gay man informs my movie-watching as much as anything else, so my writings will tend toward the so-called "queer perspective"; however, this blog isn't exclusively about "gay films", but all films, and it is my hope that it will find an audience as diverse and as fascinating as the movies we all hold dear.
My first batch of posts will be descriptions and examples of the type of articles that I have planned to post on a regular or semi-regular basis, so to paraphrase Al Jolson in The Jazz Singer: "You ain't seen nothin' yet!"
