When it comes to movie musicals of the 21st Century, Movie Dearest readers stuck with the original (in more ways then one), choosing Moulin Rouge! as their favorite by (ironically) 21% of the vote (61 votes out of a total 286). Along with the something old(er) was something new in second place, with Hairspray netting 52 votes (18%).
