Wizard Pride

Regardless of the timing, author J.K. Rowling's controversial outing of her Harry Potter wizard Albus Dumbledore has at least given us another pop culture character to call are own. Now, instead of all those Tinky Winky backpacks, we can stock up on such wizard wear as these "official Dumbledore pride" T-shirts.

Now, I'm not exactly sure how "official" they can be without a license from the big Jo Ro, but the site does state that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to GLAAD, so maybe she'll look the other way and, you know, count all the money she already has. In any event, supposedly over 7,000 of the two designs have already been sold, so expect them to be all the rage at the next Gay Pride festival nearest you.

In related news, Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo Del Toro reportedly is dying to direct the last Potter movie, The Deadly Hallows. I wonder if Warners would have the balls to let him do it.
