Terminators, Lesbians, Gladiators and Globes

Tomorrow night will be a busy one on TV (writers strike? What writers strike?), with a series debut, the return of two old favorites, and a semblance of an award show:

Part one of the two part pilot episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will air on Fox. 300's Lena Headey takes over for Linda Hamilton in the title role for this new sci fi series that will cover the events between the second and third Terminator movies. Heroes' Thomas Dekker is future savior John Connor, and The Nine's Owain Yeoman is the newest model of cyborg assassin.

I missed posting these last week when they actually premiered, so here's a reminder A) for the ladies: The L Word season five is now showing on Showtime and B) for the boys: American Gladiators is back on NBC.

And finally, don't forget that this year's Golden Globe Awards will forego the usual glitz (thanks to you-know-what) and instead announce the winners during a live "news conference" on NBC. Preceding that will be a two-hour Dateline NBC wherein Matt Lauer will interview all the nominees who declined/refused to show up otherwise.
