The Latest in Theaters: Hotties and Notties

Lots of both in this week's latest in theaters:
  • In Bruges - Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson star as two would-be thieves hiding out in the titular Belgium city. From Oscar-winning director Martin McDonagh, the dark comedy also stars Ralph Fiennes.
  • Fool's Gold - Together again after 10 Days, Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson star as an estranged couple on the hunt for lost treasure.
  • Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show - The Swinging stud hosts a stand-up tour that takes viewers from "Hollywood to the Heartland".
  • The Band's Visit - The critically acclaimed international production about an Egyptian policeman's orchestra lost in a foreign city stars the stunning Israeli actress Ronit Elkabetz as a brassy cafĂ© manager who helps out the wayward band.
  • And last ... and least: The Hottie and the Nottie - Starring Paris Hilton. 'Nuff said.

Is Vince Vaughn still considered a hottie? The difference between the guy that starred in Swingers and the guy we see now is almost as big as the difference we can see in his Stingers co-star Favreau. Vince just carries it better.

In Bruges is really the only appealing one there. I keep forgetting that January and February are the dumping ground for crappy movies. When do good ones start coming out again?

Just a minor detail but Bruges is not the capital of Belgium, Brussels is. Enjoy reading your blog.

D'oh! Don't know where I got that idea, but thanks for the catch!

And I suppose Vince Vaughn is on the tail end of his good looks.
