Into the Wild, the true-life adventure from writer/ director Sean Penn, makes its DVD debut today with three editions: a two-disc special collector's edition, a standard single discer and an HD-DVD (one of the last from Paramount, by the way).The critically acclaimed drama stars Emile Hirsch as Christopher McCandless, a recent college graduate who abandons all his possessions to trek to Alaska. Adapted from the Jon Krakauer book inspired by the true story, the film also stars Marcia Gay Harden, William Hurt, Catherine Keener, Vince Vaughn and Hal Holbrook, in his Oscar nominated role.
