The Latest on DVD: Factory Made

Today, Warner Home Video releases Classic Musicals from the Dream Factory: Volume 3,the latest collection of tuneful favorites packed with iconic stars, memorable songs and unforgettable dances. The box set features nine pictures from the legendary MGM era of movie musical greats (also sold separately in single and double feature discs):
  • Hit the Deck- Tony Martin, Vic Damone and Russ Tamblyn are the sailors and Jane Powell, Debbie Reynolds and Ann Miller are their gals in this romance on the high seas.
  • Deep In My Heart- Fred Kelly and his brother Gene appear in this musical biopic about songwriter Sigmund Romberg, played by José Ferrer.
  • Kismet- Howard Keel, Ann Blyth, Vic Damone and a scene-stealing Dolores Gray star in this colorful adaptation of the Arabian-themed Broadway hit.
  • Nancy Goes to Rio- Ann Sothern and Jane Powell are mother and daughter after the same singing role ... and the same man!
  • Two Weeks With Love- Jane Powell and Debbie Reynolds again, this time in the Catskills; features the hit song "Aba Daba Honeymoon".
  • Broadway Melody of 1936and Broadway Melody of 1938- Eleanor Powell taps out a mean "Broadway Rhythm" in the former, while Judy Garland pens a heartfelt love letter to "Dear Mr. Gable" in the latter.
  • Born to Dance- James Stewart joins Eleanor Powell (and even sings!) in this backstage tuner featuring the songs of Cole Porter.
  • Lady Be Good- Ann Sothern and Robert Young (yes, that Robert Young) are divorced songwriters still in love; features the Oscar-winning song "The Last Time I Saw Paris".
