Out in Film: Scott Thompson

Idol worship: Scott Thompson, actor/comedian/writer.

- He is best known for his many comedic creations on the cult TV hit The Kids in the Hall, including the fabulously fey Buddy Cole and the Queen of England. The Kids also starred in their own movie, Brain Candy.

- He played Brian, Hank's gay assistant on The Larry Sanders Show; he also appeared in such other television programs as Star Trek: Voyager, Providence and Carpoolers.

- Also on TV, he has co-starred in two Tales of the City mini-series and the TV movie Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story, plus voiced characters on The Simpsons, Lilo & Stitch and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and hosted the Canadian reality show My Fabulous Gay Wedding.

- His Buddy Cole has also appeared in movies (Bruce La Bruce's Super 8½), television (Dinner and a Movie), books (Buddy Babylon,his autobiography) and the internet (his very own blog, titled Ewe).

- He recently completed a Kids in the Hall national tour and will next be seen in Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild (reprising his role as closeted dad Mr. Wilson from Another Gay Movie) and the New York-set drama Shifting the Canvas.
