A stark first look poster image for the eagerly awaited movie version of the Tony Award winning hit Doubt.The drama's playwright, John Patrick Shanley (the Academy Award winning screenwriter of Moonstruck) directs his own adaptation of the intense story, with an impressive line up of A-list talent as his cast: Oscar winners Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman and Oscar nominee Amy Adams. Methinks they'll be invited back to the gold derby again this year.
Doubt opens in theaters December 12.

I am really looking forward to this. I haven't seen the play but have read it. Can't say it blew me away on the page, but this is a dream cast which also includes one of my newer fave actresses, Carrie Preston. See my "Ready?
