Regent Releasing has signed on to a ten picture deal with director David DeCoteau, who recently helmed their House of Usher. Like that thriller, the films (which will be released theatrically in addition to airing on here! TV) will be homoerotic updates of classic horror stories.
Titles will include Edgar Allan Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum and H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man (not to be confused with the just revealed Universal remake penned by Dark Knight writer David Goyer). The partnership's first release will be this fall's Playing with Fire (a.k.a. Devil is a Woman) starring Susan Anton.
